DFID END OF PROJECT REPORT
The UK Department for International
Development (DFID) commissioned the
Programme Management Office (PMO) in
June 2005 to manage its funding support to the
Government of Indias (GOI) National AIDS
Control Programme Phase II (NACPII). The
DFID PMO objective has been to commission,
manage and monitor a number of new and
existing contracts and activities, using
resources to enable non governmental
organisations (NGOs) and other civil society
stakeholders to implement innovative initiatives

UNESCO workshop for outreach workers
In September 2006, UNESCO, supported by CDC and UNAIDS, organized the
first workshop for outreach workers and peer educators working in projects
providing HIV prevention and care services to MSM in the Greater Mekong
region.
The presentations during the workshop, as well as an Outreach Worker HIV
knowledge test tool that was tested and finalized during this event, have
been posted on the UNESCO Bangkok Clearinghouse Website below:
http://www.unescobkk.org/index.php?id=5533
I hope you find these materials useful. The workshop was extremely well
liked by participants, for many of whom it was the first time to travel
abroad and meet with colleagues working in the same area of work but in
other countries.
UNESCO hopes that its recent proposal for future funding submitted to
CDC and USAID to organize a follow-up event and work further on standardizing
some basic tools for outreach to MSM will be successful.
